The Uxama Fund, monitored by Wakan, provides an extended Huichol family in central Mexico with money to purchase food, medicine, school supplies, and art materials for the intricate yarn paintings, beautiful beaded jewelry and exquisite embroidery that are a significant part of traditional Huichol culture.
Help Save a Traditional Culture
The Tsilhgot'in ("Chilcotlin") tribe in Canada needs help in their
fight to prevent the construction of a massive open pit gold mine. The
mine would completely drain their traditional fishing grounds and ruin

MAYA SEED ARK PROJECT
The Maya Seed Arks are social justice projects for food security. They are based on organic principles, as well as a practical health care solution to the dangers of genetically modified seeds and foods. Located in Maya communities in three countries, each Ark is a repository and genetic treasure trove of heirloom seeds of their region.
